It's been a long week. I haven't updated in a while. I want to blog about what I've been going through, but it's been tough and maybe that's the challenge that I need to accept. A person that was so full of life that it was contagious has left this world. I've had every emotion, but mostly sadness and pain surrounding me since Friday morning when I received the 6 a.m. phone call. In 2005 we also lost a dear friend and the roles were reverse this time. I called my best friend Cassie on that dreadful day in 2005 and this time she called me. Word for word the exact phone conversation happened. I have chill bumps just typing it.

Over You that she and Blake Shelton wrote together about Blake's brother passing. I never knew how much those words would mean to me.
